2025 Yucatan Mexico Tour Dec 2-11, 2025


Tentative itinerary:


Day 1-- We arrive in Cancun this afternoon where we will be met by our air conditioned charter bus which will transport us to the beautiful colonial city of  External link opens in new tab or windowValladolid.   We will check into our hotel where you will have time to unpack before exploring this delightful town. Take a short 10-15 min. stroll into the town center to check out the beautiful park and centuries old church and enjoy the atmosphere of this wonderful city. Overnight in Valladolid

 

Day 2-- We will board our bus and head to the ruins of External link opens in new tab or windowEk Balam,  a beautiful Mayan city with spectacular architecture and exquisite carvings.  Next, we will travel to External link opens in new tab or windowCenote Hubiku, where you will be able to experience one of the incredible phenomenons of the Yucatan.  These are fresh water pools or 'lakes' found all over the peninsula.  (Read about cenotes External link opens in new tab or windowhere.)  You can swim in the cenote or just enjoy the beauty of this incredible 'cave'.  Buffet lunch included. Overnight in Valladolid. 

 

Day 3-- Today we will visit External link opens in new tab or windowChichen Itza, one of the most well known Mayan archeological sites. After our visit there, we will have lunch at a nearby restaurant (included)

then visit a local museum with artifacts from Chichen Itza.  Overnight in Valladolid.

 

Day 4-- This morning we will check out of our hotel and travel to the External link opens in new tab or windowSpanish Colonial city, Merida. Overnight in Merida

 

Day 5-- Our next Mayan archeological visit will be to the ruins of External link opens in new tab or windowKabah, which in Mayan means "Strong Hand".  We will then visit the large and spectacular ruins of External link opens in new tab or windowUxmal.   External link opens in new tab or windowUxmal stands for "built three times" and features the Governor's Palace, The Pyramid of the Magician, a large ball court, and the Great Pyramid.  Overnight in Merida

 

Day 6-- This day we will take a day trip to the beach town of External link opens in new tab or windowProgreso, where you can relax on the sandy shores or explore the local seafood cuisine. Overnight Merida.


Day 7-- Today we will leave Merida for the coast to head to External link opens in new tab or windowPlaya Del Carmen, a wonderful resort right on the Caribbean Sea.  On the way, we will have an adventure to explore one of the amazing underground cenotes where you can experience part of the Mayan underworld.  It's an unforgettable experience you won't want to miss. Overnight in Playa del Carmen

 

Day 8  Our next adventure will be a beach/ and or snorkel day at the beautiful Puerto Morelos, where crystal clear waters meet vibrant marine life. You will have a chance to relax on the beach and snorkel (optional). Many options for lunch here on your own at one of the many beach restaurants. Overnight Playa del Carmen

 

Day 9-- Free day to explore some of the many options in the area.  Snorkeling, sitting on the beach, shopping, External link opens in new tab or windowXcaret, External link opens in new tab or windowXplor External link opens in new tab or window XelHa, or cenote tours. You may even want to book a tour to Tulum or Cozumel. Overnight in Playa del Carmen

 

Day 10 --Unfortunately all good things must come to an end and we must return today to SLC. We will board a bus and head back to Cancun for our flight back home.
